Abstract :
A technique for the detection of dynamic strain induced wavelength shifts in fibre Bragg grating sensors is reported that is based on an unbalanced-interferometer wavelength discriminator, which is capable of subnanostrain resolution (0.6 n in / square root (Hz) at 500 Hz) sensing.
