Abstract :
A remotely operated fibre-optic magnetometer was fabricated and tested. The system has a real time flat frequency response (+or-3 dB) across the entire band of 1-45 kHz with a minimum detectable magnetic field of 1.8*10-7 Gauss/ square root (Hz). The sensor is compact and contains no electronic or active components.
