Abstract :
When dealing with industrial systems, standard estimation algorithms based on recursive least squares are often unable to provide satisfactory performances: this is due to ill-conditioning of the least squares problem. When use is made of enhanced schemes based on orthogonal transformations combined with cautious least squares, better use can be made of available information
