Abstract :
The performance of outdoor to indoor handover was investigated through computer emulations. Results indicated that by using a small processing window of 5 samples over 0.1 s coupled with a hysteresis window of 7 dB, handovers could be consistently initiated within a distance of 3 m from the entrance of a building. In addition, a block processing window is found to result in 10% more single handover than its running window counterpart.
