  • Abstract
This media taxonomy serves both research and development of multimedia applications. Two graduate courses used it successfully, one on multimedia design and another on the research and evaluation of interactive multimedia. It correlates well with previous categorizations of multimedia and helps researchers better understand the impact and value added by an individual medium in a multimedia presentation
