Abstract
A simple, but very effective, method has been developed for compensating the temperature coefficient of the coil constant of any magnetic dc field coil to an almost negligible order. The method is useful for precise single-layer standard coils as well as for multilayer high-field coils. The effect of the coil constant temperature coefficient has been successfully reduced up to two orders.
