Abstract :
The teletext decoder function and 8051 based TV microcontroller have been integrated onto one chip, creating a new family of devices. This new architecture has implications beyond purely cost reduction, such as more powerful OSD, reduction of duplication in TV systems and faster text data access. A new multi-standard digital data slicer has been designed to work with the 12 MHz microprocessor clock
