Abstract
Pulses of 53 ps at 1.32 mu m have been generated with an average power of 1.5 W by second-harmonic mode locking of a CW Nd:YAG laser. The pulse repetition rate can be adjusted to either 100 or 200 MHz by cavity length changes of less than approximately 1.0 mu m. Short-term fluctuations in pulse intensity were less than +or-2%.<>
