Abstract
The maturity of the computer market is discussed. There are three distinct types of maturity - technical, market, and organizational - and they neither relate to one another in a straightforward way nor do they relate to restructuring. That obscures a second and deeper problem. Restructuring can lead to bitter losses for employees.
