Abstract
Since 1945 the development of Continuing Education has been rapid in France. In July of 1971, a law was passed which set up France´s unique Continuing Education system that is in operation today. It is an interesting arrangement, financed by both the State and the businesses. The emphasis of this article is on the role that businesses play in support of this system.
