Abstract :
We report laser oscillations in Cd II on the 4d9 5s2 2D5/2-4d10 5p 2P3/2 transition at 441.6 nm using a laser-produced tungsten plasma as a pumping source. The axial electron density is estimated using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer
