Abstract :
Lightning and cable fault induces surge current on a coaxial cable repeatered line. The surge current front becomes more and more steep when passing through the repeaters. Larger surge current penetrates the amplifier in the repeater located further from the surge struck point compared with the amplifier in the repeater near upon the surge struck point.
