Abstract :
Dedicated tools are often preferred by device designers. Our goal was to find out a development process to transform a general simulation software into a dedicated tool, easily maintainable, reusable and extensible. This paper illustrates our method with the example of a dedicated tool we developed for the design of brushless permanent magnet (BPM) motors
