  • Abstract
It is argued that six sigma can be used to achieve customer advantages, as well as process improvement. Six sigma is a method of reducing process variation, to the point where a process yields fewer than 3.4 defects per million opportunities. The key principle is not to follow methods, important though they are, but to adopt a thought process based on 3 principles; reducing process variation, simplifying product design, and looking at your offering from your customers´ perspective.
