Abstract
A need is arising for engineers who understand both an engineering discipline, and the use and capabilities of real-time computing equipment. This paper discusses the development, content, and implementation of an interdisciplinary course in real-time computing. Experiences in running this course will be compared to the normal electrical engineering course of similar content.
