Abstract
Expansion within electrical engineering, due largely to the development of the microprocessor and its applications, is a major source of challenge confronting the electrical engineering educationalist. In the following, observations on selectivity and the adoption of a theme in undergraduate programs are discussed. Developments in laboratory equipment and associated laboratory-based tuition in digital systems at the Ulster Polytechnic are described.
