Abstract :
Artificial neural networks are being designed to exploit the unique computational power of the human brain. A brief review of neural networks and their applications in communications is presented. Following that, the neural network solutions to the routing problems are given. Simulation results and performance comparisons are discussed. A comparison between the neural approach and other popular routing algorithms such as Bellman-Ford´s and Dijkstra´s algorithms is then presented. The practical significance of this new routing algorithm is discussed and further research work is suggested
