Abstract
A systematic procedure for curriculum design is briefly summarized, and the crucial step of content selection is then discussed in detail. The content is described in terms of the domain, principles, and problems of the discipline, and some suggestions regarding the teaching of each are made. The various reasons for curriculum revision are listed, with particular emphasis on the ways of solving the dilemma posed by the fact that time devoted to learning cannot increase in proportion to knowledge itself.
