Abstract
Echo cancellation as an effective technique for echo control on telephone circuits is burdened by the appearance of carrier frequency offsets and phase jitter in some echo paths. In this paper we present a digital phase-adaptive structure for cancellation which will automatically compensate for echo path frequency offsets as large as 0.001 of the sampling rate without any reduction in return/loss enhancement.
