Abstract :
In this paper a unified treatment is provided of the methods for computing terminal reliability based on recursive case analysis. The possible choices in case enumeration are discussed, and a rationale is given to support a particular policy. Simplification and decomposition techniques are also examined, and some experimental results are described, obtained with a computer program, which is a good compromise between efficiency and simplicity.
