Abstract
A senior/first-year graduate elective course is described, which uses the subject of antenna theory and design as a vehicle for stimulating student interest in applied electromagnetics as an area of study and, possibly, as a career. This goal was attained by making use of demonstrations, optional student papers, and design-type problems.
