A Frequency Response Display System for an Electrical Engineering Laboratory

In this note, the application description and design of a frequency (amplitude only) response display system (ARDS) are given. The instrument provides a visual display of the amplitude characteristic of a two-port network, and serves as a useful low-cost teaching aid for electronics and electrical engineering laboratories. It may be designed and fabricated by the students as an undergraduate project. A laboratory model of the instrument was fabricated and tested with satisfactory results. It is expected that ARDS will serve as a very useful and economical teaching aid in Third World countries.
