Abstract :
This paper reviews several schemes for hiding objects from observation, in both fiction and fact. It uses a calculation by Tyutekin, et al. to remind readers that complete invisibility is, in fact, theoretically possible, and lists some of the practical realities that get in the way. Stealth aircraft are briefly mentioned.
