Abstract
This paper introduces a new averaging method for PWM DC-DC power converters which yields averaged models that are switching frequency dependent. The new models are obtained by using periodic ripple functions to improve the averaging approximation. Two important benefits are the correction of DC offset error in steady-state and the modeling of switching frequency effects on closed-loop performance and stability
