Abstract :
The optimal multiuser detector (MUD) in DS/CDMA systems requires the solution of a NP-hard combinatorial optimisation problem (COP). A near optimal MUD based on solving the COP with memory search method is proposed. With almost the same computational complexity as the parallel interference cancellation (PIC) MUD, it produces a better performance gain than PIC-MUD
