Abstract :
A nano-sized anatase TiO2 sol was prepared by a chemical coprecipitisation-peptisation method. In this study, the visible-light response for photo-decolouration was observed in sol state. The decolouration rate of methylene blue was decreased with increasing light wavelength. The reason for the visible-light response of TiO2 sol was explained by the band-gap that is reduced due to the N impurity of TiO2 sol
