Abstract :
Efficient, wide-stopband fibre transmission filters with single narrow transmission bands produced using multiply exposed chirped fibre grating resonators are reported. Tailored combinations of these structures with additional chirped gratings have achieved single passband transmission with an effective finesse of 48. This demonstrates the feasibility of fabricating all-fibre transmission filters with arbitrary passband/stopband combinations
