Abstract :
This paper describes the experimental studies on the radiation performances of probe-fed suspended plate antennas. The nonradiation probe-driven feeds are first designed. Then, the far-field radiation performances of the rectangular suspended plate antennas fed by the feeds with and without the probe-radiation are examined and discussed. At last, as a result of the above-mentioned discussion, a symmetrical balanced center-fed suspended plate antenna is designed, which has the enhanced radiation performances across a broad bandwidth.
