Abstract :
A method of analysis for modeling cellular telephone systems which incorporates vehicular traffic theory into the model is introduced. By obtaining position- and time-dependent vehicle density data, it is possible to investigate the behavior of communication traffic for any type of road traffic. The method allows car movement in both directions on the highway to be considered. However, situations in which one direction carries such an intense load that the other may be ignored are treated, and a simplified model with enough information to examine worst-case scenarios is developed. Simulation and analysis results are presented
