Abstract :
When the electromagnetic fields on the surface of a conductor can be supposed to be constant in a wide region compared with the skin depth, the impedance boundary condition can be effectively applied in the eddy current analysis. However, as the boundary impedance condition is not valid at the edge of the conductor, an eddy current analysis method by the boundary element method utilizing the impedance boundary condition is proposed. The eddy current far from the edge of the conductor is analyzed by a boundary integral equation approximated by using the boundary impedance condition and the eddy current near a edge is analyzed by the exact boundary integral equations without any approximation
