Abstract :
In this paper we present a 3D Engquist-Majda type Absorbing Boundary Conditions version that can preserve the symmetry of the finite element matrix. This vector ABC´s is coupled with the vector wave equation. The formulation obtained uses conforming finite elements in H(curl) on hexahedral elements. The accuracy of this alternative vector ABC´s is evaluated with the radiation from an infinitesimal current dipole
