Abstract :
This paper presents an analytic method allowing us to take into account the multiple scattering effect in heterogeneous media made with spherical inclusions dispersed in a dielectric matrix. The Mie formalism used in the case of a single sphere, is extended to calculate the multiple scattered fields between two particles. The translation addition theorem for vector spherical waves functions is used to express the field scattered by one sphere in terms of the spherical coordinates of the other spheres and impose the boundary conditions. Numerical results of RCS and scattering diagrams of systems of two spheres are compared with free-space measurements made by using vectorial network analyzer
