  • Abstract
    A description is given of a cnoidal wave as generated in a symmetric three-phase circuit. The phenomenon of circulating current pulses is confirmed experimentally and by numerical simulation. The phenomenon is linked to cnoidal waves in an integrable system by using the homotopy method. The phenomenon is clarified using the analytical expression of a cnoidal wave.
