Abstract :
The demonstration of chaotic message relay using three chaotic distributed feedback diode lasers is reported. A 1-GHz message has been encoded in a chaotic carrier and relayed to a terminal receiver laser via a mediator laser. The message has been successfully extracted at both the mediator and receiver lasers. The message relay capability thereby demonstrated provides a key functionality for chaotic optical communication networks.
