Abstract :
Plasma diagnostic techniques which are used in the study of fusion plasmas are discussed. These techniques can be extended, in modified form, to the study of some of the properties of the plasma arc armature in an EM launcher. Also discussed are some of the instrumentation available for data acquisition and some of the facilities either presently online or coming online. The development of a proposed electrooptic data recording system is described
