Abstract :
The author recounts the greatest event in his life, which was receiving the honorary D.Sc. degree from the president of India in recognition of outstanding contributions in engineering and dedicated service. Receiving the Lamme Medal from the IEEE president was no less significant. When he receives such recognitions, his mind evokes memories of his childhood days, which he discusses.
