  • Abstract
    It is demonstrated that a low capacity fibre-in-loop system can be upgraded to provide broadband ISDN services without modification of the installed transport fibre. A 622 Mbit/s outbound and 155.5 Mbit/s return service to each of four customers over a single 9.4 km optical fibre is achieved.
