Abstract :
The history dependence of exchange bias effects in antiferromagnetically coupled (AFC) bilayer systems is analyzed. A mean-field description of the exchange bias in AFC structures is shown to be equivalent to a Preisach model. A methodology for the identification of interfacial exchange coupling distributions is developed
