Abstract
To study the anisotropic magnetoresistance, (A1-x Bx )77 Si10 B13 and (A1-x Bx )90 Zr10 (A, B = Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni) amorphous alloys were prepared, their resistivities in directions parallel and perpendicular to an applied magnetic field were measured, and the ferromagnetic anisotropy of resistivity (FAR) was obtained from their differences divided by the resistivity in the demagnetized state. It was found that for both systems, the FAR increases with increasing saturated magnetic moment, in contrast to the behavior in fcc ferromagnetic alloys.
