Abstract :
In this report, the differences in the magnetic moment, high-field susceptibility and temperature dependence of magnetization between crystalline and amorphous Co-Y alloys are discussed. The amorphous samples have higher magnetic moments than the crystal phase samples. The same tendency was observed in the spin wave dispersion coefficient. Co-40%Y alloy with a Curie temperature of approximately 200 K has no discernable spontaneous volume magnetostriction and no anomaly in the thermal expansion curve.
