Abstract
This article discussed a brief historical background, the definition of HDTV, a comparison between the conventional analog TV and digital counter parts. The HDTV picture quality is simply sensational and offers viewers a sense of being involved in the scene. The higher resolution along with other digital techniques made this a reality. That the relentless march of HDTV has revolutionized how we listen to music and watch TV is now plainly evident
