Abstract :
The Potter-Beardsley model is used to calculate the Co-Cr perpendicular magnetic film magnetization to investigate the influence of the model parameters. A magnetization curve in the perpendicular direction on the media surface was different from the curve obtained experimentally by Iwasaki. It was demonstrated that the experimental results could be explained by modifying the Potter-Beardsley model to take account of the exchange coupling magnetic field.
