  • Abstract
    Self-consistent vector magnetization distributions were obtained using a magnetization model for single domain ferromagnetic fine particles modified to generate the actual two-dimensional M-H curve of a recording medium. This formed the basis of a computer simulation capable of explaining the magnetization state within the media and the recording/reproducing characteristics relatively well. Comparing the results obtained from the simulation model with actual measurements confirmed that it is effective.
