Abstract :
Changes in the crystalline structure and physical properties of hexagonal ferrites and monocrystalline ferrite-garnet films under the influence of unipolar corona discharge are investigated. It was found out that under the influence of the corona discharge, the redistribution of ions and defects among sublattices of hexagonal barium ferrite was observed. The ferrite-garnet films treatment in corona discharge results in the change of optical and magnetic properties. The mechanism of their change is proposed
