Abstract :
PtMnSb films on room-temperature and heated substrates were produced. The PtMnSb films made on room temperature substrates had a maximum Kerr rotation angle (¿K) of 0.41°, but the ¿K of films made on heated substrates reached 1.18° at Tsub = 400°C. Films produced at Tsub = 400°C had a columnar structure with a large perpendicular magnetization component, while those made at Tsub = 200°C had only an in plane magnetization component.
