Abstract
The variation of magnetic properties of high-silicon steel with rolling and annealing were studied. It was found that flux density decreased monotonically as the roll reduction rate was increased to the neighborhood of 40 percent, but then rapidly increased as roll reduction was increased beyond this, reaching an almost constant value of Bs = 1.68 T, suggesting that when the roll reduction rate is greater than 50 percent, the degree of alignment of the [001] axis to the rolling direction increases.
