Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the architecture of an all-digital modem for band-limited spread-spectrum radio communication networks employing code-division multiple access with generalized MSK modulated signals. After a general description of the modem scheme, we focus on the problem of spreading code synchronization, presenting three different chip timing recovery loops and analyzing their relative performance in terms of RMS tracking error.<>
