Abstract :
Neutron radiography has been used to study the wetting of construction porous materials by water. The wetting front was found to propagate proportionally to the square root of time. The observed changes in water profiles were interpreted in terms of capillary flow in ensemble of tubes of various diameters. The tube radii distribution function was determined within the Washburn approximation.
