Abstract :
The galvanomagnetic effects of SmCo amorphous magnetic films are discussed. In films with in-plane magnetization, resistivity rose gradually with the Sm concentration, while the Hall resistivity, Hall sensitivity, and Hall voltage peaked around 15 atm% Sm and gradually declined. In perpendicular magnetization films, both the Hall resistivity and Hall sensitivity decreased as the Sm content increased. In both perpendicular and in-plane magnetization film, the Kerr rotation angle decreased as the Sm concentration increased.
