Abstract :
The power characteristics of a dc-ac interconnection system using an orthogonal core and a static induction transistor (SIT) inverter were studied. It was found that the power supplied to the ac line can be controlled from zero to its maximum value, by varying the phase angle in the range 90° to 130°, and that the efficiency of the SIT square wave inverter reaches values in the range 90 percent to 97 percent.
